Sergeant for President

Everyone has had there view in the press, but I'm going to give my view about this. For all of you who don't know what I am talking about. Mr John Sergeant has walked out from the BBC programme Strictly Come Dancing. He wasn't the best dancer but a joy to watch. There are a few reasons why he said he left. But the one that seems to be coming across most is that fact that the other dancers were starting to get over serious about it and getting a bit over the top that he was still in. I have had many people in work saying "but it's a dance competition" and in a way it is, but the reason I watch SCD every Saturday night (apart from the wife making me) is because its fun to see different people of all ages and ability attempt to dance.

My opinion is if I wanted to see a dance competition I would go and watch some pro's do it who are very very good at it, and I'm sure there are plenty of great competition in your local area you could go and watch. Another issue I have, if we all wanted to see everyone of a brilliant standard why bother asking John in the first place. Why didn't the judges make the BBC just ask all fit 20 -3 0 year old's who look good and have some dance background. why you ask? is because us the public would get bored of that very easy and we love seeing people trying and that's what John did, you tried so hard at a gift/skill he wasn't blessed with fully.
